Dr. Mark Inman

Class of 1986
 

Inducted: September 29, 2017

• Member of the Track and Field Team (1981-1986)
• Broke multiple middile distance individual school records

• Continues to hold the fastest UW time in the 4x800m relay

• Won silver medal in the 1500m at 1982 CIAU (National) Championships
• Won silver medal in the 1500m and 4x800m at 1986 OWIAA (Provincial) Championships

• Won silver medal in the 1500m at 1984 OUAA (Provincial) Championships
• Broke Waterloo records in the 1500m, 4x800m mulitpile times. 
• His gold medal performance was the first individual gold medal for the Warriors since 1996

• Graduated with Masters of Geography and Environmental Management

Inman
Andrew Krucker

Class of 1987
 

Inducted: September 29, 2017

As a long distance runner, Krucker finished in the middle of the pack in most of races as a first year but connected with long distance running coach Don Mills and within a year blossomed into one of the best runners in Ontario.  By the time Krucker graduated, he had won a bronze medal at the 1987 national championship and won two golds at the Ontario finals (1986 & 1987) and was also a first-team all-Canadian.  Krucker and his former teammate Harvey Mitro were instrumental in naming Waterloo's annual cross country meet in annual of Don Mills, a meet that continues to general support for both the cross country and track programs. Krucker is still heavily involved with cross country/track alumni to generate funds for the Warriors through the Don Mills Memorial Fund, Adopt-a-Warrior, or Terry Goodenough Scholarship Fund.

Jason Goetz

Induction Class of 2010
 

Inducted: April 5, 2010

• Member of the Track and Field Team (2005-2010)
• Track and Field Captain – 2009-10
• Graduated with Masters of Geography and Environmental Management
• Won gold medal in triple jump at 2010 CIS (National) Championships
• Won silver medal in triple jump at 2010 OUA (Provincial) Championships
• Broke the Waterloo triple jump record six times (record stood for over twenty years) and ultimately extending the record by over a full metre (14.27m to 15.13m)
• His gold medal performance was the first individual gold medal for the Warriors since 1996

Goetz
Daniella Carrington

Induction Class of 2008
 

Inducted: April 12, 2008

• Daniella was a five year star for the Track and Field team from 1998-2003
• She was a 9-time OUA All-Star and 5-time CIS All-Canadian
• In her five year career, Daniella earned 18 championship medals at OUA and CIS Championships
• In 2002, Daniella was awarded the Dr. Wendy Jerome Award for the OUA MVP and the OUA Outstanding Female Track Performer award
• In 2002, Daniella was named the CIS Outstanding Female Track Performer of the year
• In 2003, Daniella was hailed as the ‘fastest women in the CIS’ after winning gold at both the OUA and CIS in the 60m
• At the time of induction, Daniella continues to hold UW varsity records in the 60m, 4x200m split, and 4x400m split
• Daniella was a five-time Academic All-Canadian and graduated from the University of Waterloo in Actuarial Science in 2003

Carrington
Scott Arnold

Induction Class of 2006
 

Inducted: Apr. 22, 2006

- Scott was a five year two sport athlete during his tenure at Waterloo. He was a member of the Track and Field team, running the 1500m and 3000m races, and was a member of the Cross Country team. 
- Scott ran his way to 7 OUA medals and 4 CIS medals in Cross Country and Track and Field combined. He also won 2 CIS All Canadian awards with Cross Country and One CIS All Canadian award for Track and Field. 
- In the spring of the 2006 Scott was selected to represent Canada at the World University Cross Country Championships in Algeria
- Scott was a multiple Academic All Canadian and graduated from Waterloo with a Environmental Studies Degree.

Arnold
Dana Ellis

Induction Class of 2002
 

Inducted: Mar. 31, 2002

• Graduated in Honours Kinesiology with a Pre-Health Professions Option. 
• Dean's Honours List. 
• Four time Academic All Canadian. 
• Consistently medalled and set more records in every competition as a pole vaulter, she also ran and medalled in track events. 
• Undefeated in her third year of competition until winning a silver medal at the CIS championship. 
• Undefeated in her final year of competition. 
• Dana set records in four of the six meets she participated in, including setting the CIS record, winning the gold medal, and leading the women's track team to a fourth place finish. 
• Dana won the gold medal at the Canada Summer Games in 2001.

Ellis
Brent McFarlane

Induction Class of 2002

 

Inducted: Apr. 20, 2002
• Honours graduate from the University of Waterloo's Kinesiology program, 1973. 
• Head coach for the University of Waterloo's Track and Cross Country team (1989-present) 
• Member of the OUA's winning track team for three consecutive terms. For 20 years the relay team record on which Brent ran as an athlete, stood. It was broken by a team coached by Brent McFarlane. 
• Coached the unranked women's cross-country team to an OUA title in 1996 which went on to win the CIS championship. 
• University OWIAA Women's Track and Field Coach of the Year, 1997, 1998 and 2000. 
• Coach of the Year for UW in 1991 and 1997. 
• Head Coach of the Kitchener-Waterloo Track and Field Club for 23 of his 32 years of volunteering there. 
• National Hurdle Coach for Canada for 28 years. 
• Awarded the 3M Coaching Award of Excellence in 1993. 
International experience gained as the Canadian Head Track and Field Coach-Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Olympic Hurdle Coach-1980 (Moscow), 1984 (Los Angeles), 1988 (Seoul) and the Commonwealth Games Coach- 1978 (Edmonton), 1986 (Edinburgh) and 1998 (Malaysia).

Faye Blackwood

Inducted: Feb. 12, 2000

• Member of the Warrior Track team from 1976-1981. 
• Won six OUAA gold medals and eight silver medals over the 50m, 60m and 300m. 
• CIAU Gold medallist in the sprint medley relay in 1981 (3:59:81) 
• Member of National Athletics team (1983-1987) 
• Member of Commonwealth games team 1986. 
• Indoor and Outdoor National Champion, 60m and 100m hurdles, 1986. 
• CCISA National Ambulatory Coach, 1990-present. 
• Staff Coach, 1990, 1994, 1998 World Championships (Holland, Germany, England). 
• Paralympic team coach 1992-1996, Barcelona, Atlanta. 
• 3M Coaching Award 1990, Ontario Female Coach of the Year 1997, Wittnauer Coaching Excellence Award 1998. 
• Ontario Amputee and Les Autres Coach of the Year, 1999. 
• Manager of paralympic programmes with Athletics Canada at the time of induction. 
• Graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Kinesiology.

Blackwood
Heather Moyse

Induction Class of 2000
 

Inducted: Mar. 31, 2000
• Honours graduated in Kinesiology 
• Member of the soccer team for 1 year, the rugby team for 2 years and the track team for 4 years. 
• In Rugby, Heather was a two time All Canadian and an integral part of a team that won the OUA Silver medal and the first ever CIAU Bronze medal. She was named to the CIAU Tournament All Star team. 
• In Track, Heather competed for four years at the CIAU's and amassed 10 OUA medals and 2 CIAU bronze medals in her career. During the 2000 OUA championship, Heather scored 34 of the teams total 97 points to lead the team to a third place medal and was named the OUA Track MVP at the championships. 
• Set the following records in her career at Waterloo: 
• 1st in the Triple Jump 
• 1st in 200m 
• 1st in 400m

Patti Moore

Inducted: Feb. 6, 1999
• Competed in Cross Country and Track and Field between 1980-1984 
• Finalist in four consecutive CIAU Track and Field Championships 
• OWIAA Champion over 1000m in 1980-83 and the only individual qualifier for the first CIAU Indoor Track and Field Championships. 
• CIAU Silver Medallist over 1000m in 1980-83 
• Meet record over 600m at the University of Toronto Invitational, 1980-81. 
• Member of OWIAA Silver Medallist Cross Country team in 1981. 
• Member of OWIAA Bronze Medallist Cross Country team in 1982. 
• Assistant coach of women's Cross Country and Track and Field teams between 1983-86. 
• Winner of Mike Moser Memorial Award in 1983. 
• Finalist for UW Athlete-of-the-Year in 1983.

Leslie Estwick

• CIAU Gold Medal winner in High Jump in 1980-81. 
• Member of Canadian track and field team from 1981-84. 
• National Champion in the High Jump and Silver Medallist in the 100m Hurdles in 1991. • National Indoor Title in the 60m Hurdles in 1991. 
• World Veterans Gold Medal Champion in High Jump and Silver Medals Champion in 100m Hurdles, Long Jump and Pole Vault in 1987. 
• Competed in the Francophone Games (1989), the PanAm Games (1991), the World Championships (1991) and the Commonwealth Games (1993, 1994).
• Served in the elected position of Athletes Representative on the Athletics Canada Board of Directors.
• Graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of mathematics (Computer Science, Co-op) Degree from UW. 
• Graduated in 1991 with a Master of Business Administration (M.I.S. International Business) Degree from McGill University.

Estwick
Sarah Dillabaugh

Inducted: Mar. 31, 1997

• 2 sport athlete (Tack and Field, Cross Country) for four years 
• broke 7 UW track records 
• placed 1st overall and led team to gold at OWIAA cross country championship in 1997 
• placed 2nd overall and led team to gold at CIAU cross country championships in 1996 
• at 1997 OWIAA track finals, won 2 gold and 2 silver medals. At CIAU finals, captured 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze, leading Athenas to the team bronze 
• an OWIAA All-Star and All-Canadian in both cross country and track, 1995-1996 and 1996-1997 
• represented Canada at an Ekiden Road Relay event in Japan 1996

• Led cross country term to OWIAA and CIAU titles in 1996

• While at UW, represented Canada at the Junior Pan Am and Common Wealth games 
• Named OUAA All-Star and CIAU All Canadian in 1994 - 1995 and 1995 - 1996 
• Won CIAU pole vault championship in 1994 - 1995 and 1995 - 1996 
• Team captain and team leader of Waterloo track and field team 
• Competed in high jump and sprint events for UW 
• Holds varsity pole vault record of 5.15 metres 

Miller
Dennis McGann

Inducted: Oct. 21, 1995
• member of four consecutive league championship teams in track and field from 1969 - 1972 
• in 1970, he won four gold medals in the league championship 
• set 8 records during his career at Waterloo, of which he still holds or shares several 
• sports reporter and then editor of the student newspaper at UW 
• named the Outstanding College Athlete at the Maple Leaf Games in 1971 
• kinesiology representative on the UW Federation of Students 
• at the time of induction, he operates his own public transportation firm in Vancouver 
graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) degree in 1972 

McGann
Margo Fraser

Induction Class of 1994

 

Inducted: Oct. 5, 1994

• She was a point-scorer and assistant coach with the Athena Skating Team when they won UW's first Figure Skating Championship in 1985-86. 
• Won the OWIAA Open Singles Championship in 1985-86. 
• Placed second in the Senior Solo Dance and the Open Interpretive Category in 1985-86. 
• Became the Participating Head Coach of the Athena Figure Skating Team in 1986-87. 
• Was named the Most Valuable Skater with the team in 1985-86 and 1986-87 
• Recepient of the Director's Award in 1986-87 for her contribution to figure skating 
• Graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Kinesiolgy) in 1987 and a Master of Science (Kinesiology) in 1993.

Fraser
Cam Crosby

Induction Class of 1993

 

Inducted on October 2, 1993 

• Participated in the three sports of Track and Field, Football and Hockey. 
• Won both the shot put and discus in the OQAA Championship meet, establishing records in both. 
• Joined the football team in 1970 and set a record for longest pass completion in Warrior history, 92 yards. The record stood for seven years. 
• Assistant Captain of the Warrior hockey team, 1972-74. 
• Played a prominent role in leading the hockey team to both the OUAA and the CIAU Championship in 1974, the first and only CIAU Hockey Championship for UW to date. 
• At time of induction, he teaches at Forest Glen Public School in New Hamburg, Ontario. 
• Graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology), 1974. 

Crosby
George Neeland

Induction Class of 1989

 

Inducted: Mar. 22, 1989

• Was a member of the Warriors team winning four OUAA championships 
• George set UW records in the 100m, 120m hurdles, 400m hurdles, long jump, triple jump, and 4x100m relay 
• He won five national championships in the 100m hurdles in 1969 and 1970 
• He competed in the Pan Am games, the Pacific Conference games, the Common Wealth games, and the university games 
• At the time of induction, he was a high school teacher in Burlington 
At the time of induction, he was a national events coach in the hurdles 

Neeland
Ritasue (Sue Murphy) Bolton 

Induction Class of 1988

 

Inducted: Mar. 25, 1988
• 1970 - 1971 won the basketball OWIAA championship 
• 1971 - 1972 was on the track and field OWIAA championship team 
• During earlier years, no All Star selections were made but she would undoubtely have been an All Star in track and field and basketball 
• At the time of induction, Sue was Director of Men's Intramurals at Queen's University and also the track coach 
• Sue has coached several track athletes to national status 
• Graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts (Recreation) degree

• Member of Warrior cross country and indoor track team for four years 
• Captain for two years 
• Member of Men's Interuniversity Council for three years; president for one 
• MVP for three years of indoor track team

• Qualified for CIAU championship in all four years 
• Broke 10 individual and relay school records 
• Graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) degree

Elizabeth Damman-McDuffe

Inducted: Mar. 21, 1986

• Won the Gold in the 100 metre high hurdles, long jump, and the bronze in 4 x 44 metre in 1973 
• Help the Athenas to their first OWIAA championship in 1973 
• Won the Gold in 50 metre hurdles, and 300 metre sprint 
• Represented Canada in the World University Games in 1975 and Bulgaria in 1977 
• Represented in the 1974 Common Wealth Games and the Pan Am Games in 1975 
• Graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology
