March 1, 2004 - ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Adrian Blair, Track & Field
Adrian, a fifth year Economics student from Hamilton, Ontario,qualified for the CIS Championships this past weekend at the Ontario Championship at York University. Adrian ran a personal lifetime best of 35.34 to claim bronze in the 300m event. Adrian was also a key element in both the 4x200m (4th) and 4x400m (5th) relay teams that also qualified for the CIS Championships to be held March 11-13 at the University of Windsor.
February, 2, 2004 - Andrew Sepic Sets Varsity Record in Pentathlon
This past weekend at the York Invitational track meet, Warriors Andrew Sepic set a University of Waterloo varsity record in the pentathlon by scoring 3062 points. Andrew placed second in the event and is currently 8th in the CIS. The previous record was held by Joe Brown's performance at the same meet in 2001 (2782 points).
The indoor pentathlon consists of five events (60m Hurdles, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, and 1000m). Below is a breakdown of Andrew's record setting performance.

January 26, 2004 - ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Scott Arnald, Track & Field
Scott, a third year Environmental/Business student from Waterloo, Ontario, finished second place in the 1500m at the McGill Team Challenge this past weekend in Montreal. Scott's finishing time of 3:54.91 was a lifetime personal best and qualifies Scott for the CIS National Championships in March.
December 1, 2003 - ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Kate Bickle, Track & Field
Kate, a first year Fine Arts student from Belleville, Ontario, racked up two third place finishes in the 60m and 300m events this past weekend at the Western Season Opener. Both of these were season personal bests for Kate. She also ran the first leg of both the 4x200m and 4x400m relays helping Waterloo finish in the top three in both events.
